I woke up this morning on the wrong side of the bed, and every little thing seemed to get my gears grinding.
But after I sat with the feelings that seemed to plague my upcoming day, they weren't so bad at all.
I was just in my head and had to remind myself that all this tension, stress, and anxiousness wasn't mine. Cause I slept great, and I love Mondays lol
It was a cumulation of the energies around me. Thanksgiving can bring out a lot of different emotions for people. From who they're going to spend the day with to what home-cooked food they'll bring to dinner.
A day of thanks and family makes everyone a little uncomfortable, am I right?
& that's okay because it's a chance to practice those boundaries and find your peace even when things seem wack.
You don't have to be anxious just because your mom is.
You don't have to stress over a perfect dessert just because you burnt those cookies last year.
You don't have to be sad if you can't make it home for thanksgiving.
Acknowledge those feelings, yes, but don't allow them to override what you got going for yourself.
So in today's lit fit class, we focus on clearing the stress-muck and strengthening boundaries through full-body, weighted movements.
